I know how to spell. Really.
Date: 2009-05-05 05:43 pm (UTC)At any rate, I have to admit - the first one had me giggling, hard; I think it was my favourite out of all of them. Number 9 was creepy. Awesomely creepy. Also, six appealed to me, because... well, Saitou. Interesting use of the theme, too.
Re: I know how to spell. Really.
Date: 2009-05-05 05:48 pm (UTC)Now that I go back and look at it, 9 is more the classic horror piece (though a very pretentious and literary one) while 6 was just what came to mind when I thought of the word "horror." Number 9 is my personal favorite, because I never expected to get along so well with Enishi, and yet he wries himself for me.
(#1, by the way is based on Aoshi's Su Shen fight.)

Date: 2009-05-05 06:03 pm (UTC)Not exactly my first RK fic. There's one on my FFN profile called "Groves of Clockwork Oranges," but it's a couple of years old. I'm currently working on a multi-chapter AU (based on this concept art), but I've decided to wait until I'm at least halfway done before posting it. That way, there's more likelihood that I'll finish it.
You have? Ahahaha, man. Please tell me you didn't AWTDC, because that thing is embarrassing.

Date: 2009-05-05 06:13 pm (UTC)Ah, the concept art! I love that stuff. Discovered it recently, exclaimed over it at length, and the idea of making an AU out of it is definitely an interesting one. I'll keep an eye out for this!
Heh, hate to break it to you, but I've read AWTDC a few times now. I'm not a Yuffentine fan, but I like the story and your portrayal of the characters.

I was originally going to leave the concept art well enough alone because Aoshi has gauze wing-things and no sheaths for his kodachi. But then
Oh god that is so humiliating to hear. "Burnt Offerings" is about five times better. Also bloodier, but I just like violence.

Date: 2009-05-05 06:34 pm (UTC)Hahaha, weeell... I have a few collaborative things going on at the moment; one is roleplay based, the other is fanfic. The one I was referring to just now is the fanfic one; a cross-over and mish-mash thing, brought about by combining Final Fantasy Seven with Detective Conan & Magic Kaito. It is on-going, but I took my half of the fics down a while back for revamping.
Some of the concept art is amazing. Hiko's redesign scares the socks off me, though. I mean, really -- flowers? And his hair, oh man. I won't even get started on that.
I've been reading "Burnt Offerings", too! The bloodier, the better. I'm a sucker for seeing the character's I love in gratuitous amounts of pain.

Date: 2009-05-05 06:51 pm (UTC)Ah, I see. Pity!
Yes. Like, say, Kaoru. Kaoru's concept art is gorgeous. Misao is adorable. If I could pull the redesigned Megumi off the page, play with her hair, and then keep her prisoner in my plushie-filled dungeon, I would.
And... Then we have the Okina redesign (over here; yes, the dude in the loincloth is Okina), which is even scarier than Hiko's. (Shikijou's is pretty scary too, but mostly because, uh, I really hope one of those outlines is not what I think it is... and I'm pretty sure it IS what I think it is.)
Oh, good. I'm actually reasonably proud of that one. (And if you like gratuitous pain, I volunteer Five Worlds That Fell to the Heartless.) Ahaha, well, I'm glad you're liking them.
